]]>“Now why doth thou cry aloud? Is there no king in thee? Is thy counselor perished?” (Micah 4:9)
“One God and Father of all, who is ABOVE all, and THROUGH all, and IN you all”. (Ephesians 4:6)
Paul declared that “We must through much tribulation (pressure) enter into the kingdom of God,” (Acts 14:22). There is no cause to view this negatively, for it is this very pressure which shall press us into God, as His life becomes a REALITY WITHIN.
One translation for Luke 21:25 gives, “Crowding pressure of nations with no way out.” Another translation states, “Upon the earth distress (trouble and anguish) of nations in bewilderment and perplexity, (that is, without resources, left wanting, embarrassed, in doubt, not knowing which way to turn)…”
This pretty well describes our present situation. Mentally we are drained and exhausted, financially we are spent, without resources, while spiritually we are in such doubt and unbelief as to be morally bankrupt. We are rapidly being brought to the end of human ability and strength that we might turn to the Lord.
In the midst of all this, God is bringing forth a spiritual remnant who POSSESS THE KING, and they are becoming ‘HIS KINGDOM COME”. The King, and His domain, are within (Luke 17:21). There is arising today a people that know their God, they affirm His sovereignty that He alone is GOD and there be no other gods. It is His being KING WITHIN which has required a continual surrender until every part of our being has come under His rule.
We begin with our surrender of things to the Lord, our family, our finances, and our own life – every phase of surrender is essential, sometimes painful, sometimes offered with joy and singing, but eventually we come to the place where everything is committed into His hand. It is a realm beyond surrender where our committal leads to an abiding peace and rest.
We trust Him with all that we have, and all that we are, knowing He doeth all things well. Our committal merges into a complete trust which in turn brings ‘a peace that surpasses all understanding’. The King is within, and all is well!

]]>This present time is what we call a time of transition. It is a time of progression and transition when the world is passing through the distress and travail that is common to the ending of one age and the beginning of the new. This time of transition and progression will indeed be very strange. It will be a time of much change and of the shaking of everything that can be shaken. Everything everywhere is changing as the Lord shakes and removes all that speaks of the old order and brings forth that which pertains to the new. Although we may experience some difficulties because of the necessary changes, we will grow spiritually and will rejoice in the end result.
This is indeed a strange time of transition. It is a time of constant changes everywhere. The changes we are now witnessing are signaling the beginning of an age of good things, when the righteousness, peace, joy, justice, and love of God shall prevail among men. This strange time of transition is a time of divine correction. It is a time when all that is contrary to the spirit and purpose of the kingdom of God is being revealed so that those contrary forces may eventually be removed to make way for His kingdom. The changes we are seeing are part of the shaking of all things that can be shaken until we may wonder if there is anything permanent anywhere.
The writer to the Hebrews said that the Lord once shook the earth, and then declared, “Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.” (Heb. 12:26-29)
We are now in that strange time of transition when the Lord is shaking everything that can be shaken. All that is the result of man’s efforts, man’s works, or man’s carnal mind shall be shaken down to nothing. This includes all man’s systems, whether religious, political-governmental, or economic. Then the kingdom of God shall arise from the ashes of the old things of the past. We have no control over the present shakings or what is being shaken, for the Lord is doing the work. He is moving in the earth in a very sovereign way to accomplish His eternal purposes, and to bring forth His kingdom. That which cannot be shaken shall remain. Only that which is of the creation of God shall stand to become the basis for the pure and righteous kingdom of God.
As everything around us is being shaken, we are receiving the kingdom of God which cannot be shaken. We also are serving the Lord acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Our high calling during this brief time of transition thus requires that we continue receiving the kingdom of God, with all the principles and truth of our King, and hold fast to His grace. This is not a time to be slothful, lethargic, or indifferent. The times demand that we be spiritually alert, awake, and aware, and that we be found occupying until His appearing. During this strange time, we will cling to Christ, serving God according to His will and purpose with godly fear, knowing that our God is a consuming fire, and that He will burn away all that does not come from Him.

]]>When the “going gets tough” the majority HEAD BACK TO EGYPT!
Scriptures: Luke 16:16 (The Good News is purpose Romans 8:28) / Ex 16:1-3 / Ex 14:10-15
Think back when you were a little kid and got scared. What did you tend to do?
If you were like most kids you went looking for your mommy or some similar form of security.
This pattern doesn’t go away so easily. When you get scared or worried today you probably still tend to seek comfort and retreat to where you feel safe and secure.
Do you tend to do what’s familiar, safe, and easy even when greater things are on the horizon?
This isn’t unnatural, but if we don’t actively seek to ‘think outside the box’, we’re likely to stay in the same place and live by the same habits we always have, despite how self-defeating they may be.
When a new opportunity arises, we may decide it’s too risky and not even try. Or we may decide to go for it, experience some setbacks, and give up before we even make progress.
What’s currently holding you back that you’re too afraid to change?
Here are a few suggestions to help you move beyond the familiar everyday lifestyle that limits your growth.
Successful people fail on occasion. It’s how we learn and improve. If somebody tells you they haven’t failed, it’s probably because they aren’t trying hard enough.
There’s nothing inherently wrong in failing and in fact it offers us a chance to grow and gain wisdom.
The only way we can truly know we are getting closer to our potential is to fail. If we don’t push our limits we can’t grow. Anyone can go through life doing the same thing over and over knowing it will be easy and knowing it will be safe and secure.
We must not fear failure if we are to ever do something more than ordinary. Even if you value security consider how this plays a role in your life and if it inhibits you in the pursuit of better things.
Excuses are some of the most subtle yet powerful forces in life. You probably don’t even realize how much of your thinking is based on deep seated excuses.
Excuses are essentially a defense mechanism we use to make ourselves feel better when we aren’t living up to our potential.
For instance, I got in a lot of trouble when I was growing up. For a long time I used this as an excuse for my behavior and lack of motivation. Until I turned this around to be a source of motivation and strength to push past the limits I feel sometimes.
Realize when you’re making excuses and how this can limit your sense of motivation and empowerment.
A wonderful metaphor for how our mind keeps us in the cycle of self-defeat is the horse and rider. If a horse is trained to follow a certain path it can be difficult if not impossible to get it off this course.
Our unconscious mind is the horse and we are often the rider at it’s mercy. When something new or unexpected arises, our horse immediately alerts us of the potential danger. The horse makes us feel uncomfortable, unsafe, and think of all the possible bad things that could happen.
Our horse keeps us focused on how things “should” be and what we are “supposed to” do. Our horse doesn’t welcome change, and anything different or new is perceived as a threat.
Knowing this will take place can help you tame your horse by not immediately reacting to the irrational way of viewing things your horse promotes.
We all encounter limitations in some form or another. Sometimes they’re “real” and we have to accept our circumstances, but most of the time the limitations we experience are self-imposed and based on some faulty belief that we’re not good enough or don’t deserve to be successful.
Consider how much you hold yourself back based on faulty beliefs and conditioning from society and our own culture.
It’s a fact that most people won’t trust God to be one of a kind. Only a small percentage of people (“narrow is the way and few there be who go there”) will ever really trust God to reach for their purpose.
However, this fact doesn’t need to hold us back from using our unique potential.
Most people who think they are “average” have much more potential than they realize. The simple fact that people consider themselves to be “average” holds enough conditioning to prevent any true breakthroughs.
Assuming you have at least average mental and physical ability, you will be able to get to the next level by sheer fortitude if you’re willing to just try. You just have to want it badly enough.
Our emotions and thoughts are connected to our will. When we begin to feel discouraged and think less of ourselves it effects our will to persevere. We can’t give up at the first sign of resistance. Nothing in life worth pursing is easy. If this was the case we wouldn’t experience any growth. Proverbs 24:16…..”The just man/woman FALLETTH seven times but RISETH back up again…..”
Whatever the situation may be, taking the familiar road is all too easy. You must break the cycle.
The will to succeed comes from overcoming the faulty beliefs and conditioning you are prone to, and beginning to push past the discomfort that arises when you try something new.
