Every emotion, every feeling is related to a body movement. They are accompanied by releasing certain hormones. And hormones boost this emotion – stress, happiness, sadness, depression, sleepiness… By releasing stress hormones, our motivation and confidence drops. Our body automatically droops the shoulders, chest is inwards, eyes are looking down. As if we are shorter than grass. And vice versa! If you are extremely happy, you feel your energy flowing and you can’t even sit down. Lower your eyes, shrink your shoulders and you will see how you will instantly feel bad! You will become sad and will feel inner disappointment, guilt, a feeling of inferiority will come.

What if this is how you actually feel?

Sit up. Raise your chin, eyes up high, straighten the back and the shoulders, jump up a few times. Feel your confidence! Feel how you have much more self-confidence than before! Feel your pulse! Feel your excitement! As if you are bubbling up!

You just produced the hormones of happiness yourself

If it’s the end of the workday and you are tired but there is another hour before leaving and you feel like your energy is minus 200 of 10, then Smile!!!

Yes, you read correctly. Smile! The body does not recognize the true from the false smile. A smile means releasing endorphins! HAPPINESS! You will automatically receive a dose of energy! What does a 30-second smile cost you. Often, when my children are crooked, sleepy, or hungry, they begin to sulk. And if it’s getting worse! I make them laugh. I stand opposite them and say something they will laugh at or say directly: “I challenge you! Smile at me and hold for 30 seconds.” And it works. In half a minute they become like other children.

In my trainings and personal consultations, I aim to make people laugh every 15 minutes. As you know, if you laugh, you raise your energy. So, in the hardest part of the workout, it’s like drinking a dose of energy. My trainings are all day for 6–8 hours. How will you survive if you only use your strength, but do not produce energy?! Have you been to boring seminars? After the second hour you fall asleep and a rumbling starts going on in the hall. Finally, it’s good that you kept notes, because there’s nothing left in your head.

Were you there at all?

That’s why we commented on that topic when we talked about diets. We score an own goal! We want to be happy, but we stand hunched over and crooked. We feel bad for the candy we ate. What about that chocolate yesterday? Yesterday I saw a pimple on the bottom of Simonka’s face. It had the typical pigmentation for sugar plus gluten. I told her, “You ate gluten.” And she immediately said, “Yes, there were birthdays yesterday” and she began to excuse herself. Meaning: we believe that eating sweets is bad! We are filling up. We eat sweets quickly; we do not enjoy it. Then we have a sense of guilt. The body is shrunken and has stress hormones. We try to forget it. And if someone asks us, we immediately react with a defensive excuse. Not necessary! We ate – we ate. Why do we have to excuse ourselves? On the contrary, if you eat it anyway… Enjoy it!

How to help ourselves?

For starters – don’t feel bad that you ate sweets! Think about what you ate before! That’s the problem. It has not given you what you need. And the body wants to compensate with what you have taught it. Better eat something than nothing.

Stay upright. No matter how tired you are. If you shrink, work on the computer or on the desk hunched all day – you will not lose weight, no matter the diet. It’s kind of like red light – a threat! You are hunched over – things are not okay! Store! Store! Store! Produce more stress hormones! Come on, come on, come on… no time! Winter is coming!

Produce more happiness hormone! Smile! Produce more motivation hormone! Celebrate every victory! HOW? Set easy goals! In two weeks – lose 1 cm from the waist. Clap, shout, rejoice.

And don’t forget that whether the hen or the egg comes first doesn’t matter! You have both a hen and an egg.

Whether you are tired and sad, you will hunch over… Or you will hunch over and it will make you sad, it doesn’t matter. You will be sad! Will the smile come first and then the laughter, or will you laugh first, and then remain with a smile?
